Tuesday Trio-Part I COEX Aquarium

Jen canceled the babysitter on Tuesday so it was the girls and I on our own in a city of over 10 million people. They left me with a cell phone which was probably pretty smart. I had to wake the girls as they were exhausted from all our late nights. We had breakfast and I forced them to do their Kumon (school work). Then we were off to the aquarium.
We had about a 45 minute subway ride. We had no trouble and got right to COEX which is a larger underground mall
below the World Trade Center or next to it. I am not exactly sure. Our first stop was the food court for lunch. We had Sbarro pizza,
pasta, and garlic bread. It was a nice change from the Korean food which all tastes either very sweet or very spicy to me. Our adventure continued reading the signs to get us to the aquarium. On the way we came across a bookstore. I was looking for a 3-D puzzle which I found and for a funny new i-Phone cover. I found the puzzle but the cellphone case was too expensive. On the way out of the bookstore I found this advertisement to be funny. It is a life jacket type thing. We then found the aquarium.
This aquarium does have cool fish but it is the way they are displayed which is even cooler. The Koreans got creative with this one. Some of my favorites were fish inside a toilet, sink, stoplight,
fire extinguisher,
streetlamp,
soda machine, , kitchen, and phonebooth.

We have tons of photos from the trip that I will eventually put in a slideshow but for now I included some of my favorites. Other cool ways to look at fish were to lay down and look up. I'm telling you the presentation of this place was great.
I also liked how the displays even had some traditional Korea incorporated. We also did the Dr. Fish again but this our hands were eaten. We had ample time in the aquarium so we saw a harbor seal show and the penguins put on a show for us. The last stop was the gift shop which was no different than our aquarium gift shops. Our legs were tired from fish watching so we stopped at Smoothie King for a treat and to relax.
