After dinner we walked past the US Embassy which is heavily guarded to another metro station. We were off to the Han River. The Han is a huge river that splits the city up.

We took a night tour so we could see the buildings and bridges lit up. We were moving kind of slow since it was hot and we didn’t really allow enough travel time so Eric had to run ahead and buy us tickets. We were very thankful to be basically the last passengers on to the ferry.

It is about an hour long cruise that has some entertainment. Once they saw a magic show, this year was a guitarist.

It was a beautiful ride at sunset. We rode by Building 63

which has 63 stories when we came back by it all that was lit up was the elevator which was pretty cool

The Youngstroms were a bit disappointed because in the past they had seen a fountain show but not this year. I was disappointed that the cruise was not narrated. I love learning about all the buildings and hearing stories.

After the cruise we hit the park playground. It had a super cool zip line but it was too dark for pictures. The park also has bike rental but again it was too dark for us to do that. Perhaps I’ll go back while they are in China. One the way home we got Fanta Orange and Coke flavored slushies. We also walked by the US embassy again and it looked like someone was being arrested which was strange. There were so many police that we just kept walking right towards one of the beautiful city gates.
